After Samsung began shipping the first mid-range smartphones with Android 15 and One UI 7 with the Galaxy A55, A54, and A35, the update was also rolled out to the Galaxy Tab A9+ for a few days, initially in South Korea and then worldwide via India.
More very fresh security patches
The (still) current Android version from the South Korean manufacturer is also finding its way into the entry-level segment. The new firmware, codenamed X210XXU6DYE1, weighs approximately 2.5 GB. While previously updated smartphones received at least the April 2025 security patches, and the Galaxy A55 even received the patch from May 20, 2025, the Galaxy Tab A9+ update only contains security precautions from 2025.
Experience has shown that the update will also arrive in local regions in the coming days. However, since distribution is OTA (“Over The Air”), it may take some time for all Galaxy Tab A9+ owners to receive a corresponding notification of the new version. Alternatively, it is possible to manually install the new firmware using the ODIN software on the device.
