GeForce 572.83 WQHL: Game Ready for Assassin's Creed Shadows and Half-Life 2 RTX Demo

Nvidia’s GeForce 572.83 WQHL brings official support for Assassin’s Creed Shadows (in the benchmark test) and the Half-Life 2 RTX demo. The recent Control update, along with the latest updates for US Part II Remastered and Warhammer 40,000: Darkside, is also supported as game ready.

Game Ready for Assassins and More

In line with the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Nvidia has released the first Ready Driver game. Ubisoft’s open-world game relies on ray tracing for lighting and global reflections. Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation are also available. DLSS Transformer 4 and Multi-Frame Generation are possible via the NVIDIA app.

The Half-Life 2 RTX demo can be downloaded by Half-Life 2 owners. Technically, it comes with DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation and RTX Neural Rendering. With Patch 1.30 for the Control Ultimate Edition, the third-person shooter received a technical update, which, for example, added DLSS 3.7 and DLAA. DLSS 4 should be possible with this driver via the NVIDIA app.

Three other titles are still on the game’s list: The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released on April 3, 2025, for PC. It supports DLSS 4 multi-frame generation, DLSS frame generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex. Warhammer 40,000: Darkside is the next title, which was already released a few years ago and is receiving a technical update to support modern graphics features. The game now supports DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, and NVIDIA Reflex. Raytracing reflections and global illumination can be used upon request. The last game on the list is the life simulation Inzoi, which will be released on March 28, 2025.

New NVIDIA app dlss “reject”

With the NVIDIA app, not only can drivers be automatically updated and graphics settings for games configured, but various “DLSS Overrides” are also used for 40 and RTX 50 graphics cards. These enable support for DLSS Multi-Frame Generation or the DLSS Transformer Model Upgrade, which enables the latest AI features. The list of supported titles has been expanded to 100 games and programs. Games include 2: Heart of Chornobyl, Alan Wake 2, and Frostpunk 2 and Confessed. The complete list can be viewed here.

Fixed and Known Issues

The first two issues fixed according to the official Changelog and GeForce Driver Forum contribution in version 572.83 have already been addressed in Hotfix Driver 572.75. There are also four bug fixes. An issue with reset settings immediately in the NVIDIA app and NVIDIA control control. By using HDR, the potential blue screen issue should no longer occur. The other two fixed issues affect derivative touch designers and Autodesk Vred 2026.

Eight issues remained open. There are also problems with Forza Horizon 5 and GPU Aktitiväts-Icons. All other issues affect NVIDIA’s latest GeForce-RTX-50 series, leading to crashes in Red Dead Redemption 2, black screens, and issues with artifacts in Starfield’s main menu. Other errors include incorrect color saturation, problems with the Varjo Aero VR headset and when setting “scaling scaling with”, no “GPU” can be selected, but only “advertising”.
