GEFORCE 576.52 WHQL: New Driver for GeForce RTX 5060 (Laptop) 2 comments
GEFORCE 576.52 WHQL provides out-of-the-box support for F1 25 and Dune: Awakening. However, with F1 25, there is a known bug that allows the game to crash. This is also the first driver with support for the NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 5060 for both desktop and laptop versions.
Game Ready for RTX 5060
The new GeForce RTX 5060 officially hit the market today. However, there are no independent tests at first, only “previews,” in which NVIDIA specifies graphics settings, game selection, and other graphics cards to compare. The 576.52 WHQL driver is the first driver to officially support the RTX 5060 for desktop and laptop use.
Two New Game-Ready Games
In addition to support for the new GeForce RTX 5060, the driver also brings Game-Ready status for two games and a path tracing upgrade. It starts with F1 25, whose system requirements, especially with path tracing, call for high-level arithmetic. In addition to path tracing, it will also offer ray tracing, DLSS Ray Reconnaissance, and DLSS 4 Super Resolution with multi-frame generation (MFG). The second game, Dune: Awakening (in the community benchmark), will be released on June 10, 2025, five days earlier for multiplayer games. The multiplayer game features DLSS frame tracing, DLSS Super Resolution, and MFG, as well as NVIDIA Reflex. The battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint recently received a comprehensive ray tracing update, which is now officially supported by NVIDIA.
Fixed and Known Bugs
According to NVIDIA’s official changelog for driver 576.52, six bugs have been fixed, and four are known and still open. Racing drivers in F1 23 and F1 24 are pleased with a bugfix that caused both games to crash after the race ended. In Diablo 2 Resurrected, the black screen should have disappeared when using DLSS. The skimmer in the early access title should no longer crash. Other bug fixes affect the Lumion 12 and Varjo XR3.
This driver also doesn’t ship with Codemaster’s racing series. Based on the issues with F1 23/24, there’s unfortunately an issue with the latest driver in F1 25, which leads to random crashes. Somewhat surprising, since driver 576.52 is labeled as an F1 25-ready game. Hopefully, another driver will appear before the May 30, 2025 release. Forza Horizon 5, which is said to crash after longer play sessions, and Ghosts of Tsushima, where photo mode can crash around light sources, affects Cyberpunk 2077, which can crash in photo mode.
