In 2011, Nvidia held its last classic LAN party with the GeForce LAN 6, which took place extravagantly on the American aircraft carrier USS Hornet. With the GeForce LAN 50, the series now returns as an online and offline event. The “50” means 50 hours of duration, but also fits the GeForce RTX 50 series perfectly.
GeForce LAN 50 wraps up at Nvidia CES keynote
The event will run for 50 hours from January 4-6, with online matches and four classic LAN parties in Las Vegas (the CES venue), Berlin, Beijing and Taipei.
The starting signal is given on January 4 at 4:30 p.m. in Las Vegas (January 5 at 1:30 a.m. German time). The end will be reached on January 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Las Vegas (January 7 at 3:30 a.m. German time): that’s exactly when Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will take the stage for his opening speech at CES 2025. The GeForce RTX 5000 series is expected to be introduced. Nvidia has all but confirmed it with new teasers for CES.
Anyone who wants to participate in one of the four local events can register with Nvidia on December 16, 2024 from 3 p.m. German time.
