GEFORCE RTX 5060: New Blackwell Launch Starts May 19th, Euro Prize Open 3 Comments

Until now, the GeForce RTX 5060 TI 8/16 GB has been the available entry in the Blackwell generation of NVIDIA graphics cards. The RTX 5060 8 GB is expected to follow in May. Now it’s official: it will be released on May 19th for both desktop PCs and notebooks as a laptop GPU. However, Nvidia remains guilty of a RRP for Europe.
The announcement is now official.
The RTX 5060 was already unveiled alongside the two RTX 5060 TIs in March. Basically, only the official date for the start of sales and an RRP in euros (USD: 299 before taxes) were missing. Nvidia has now announced the appointment. Accordingly, “starting May 19 at 6:00 PM (UTC+1), GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards and GeForce RTX 5060 GPUs will be available worldwide to add-in card partners, OEM partners, system integrators, and retailers. NVIDIA had already introduced the GeForce RTX 5060 with the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (review), so reference can be made to previous reports with more details. Three new RTX 50s: the RTX 5060 TI 8/16 GB and the 5060 cost €399/€449 and $299.

Independent tests will follow, but at least one indication of the GeForce RTX 5060’s performance level has provided Nvidia with its own benchmarks in certain titles. According to NVIDIA, the GeForce RTX 5060 not only receives the new features listed below compared to the GeForce RTX 4060, but also 20 to 25 percent more computing power. In conjunction with DLSS MFG, the GeForce RTX 5060 can also deliver approximately twice as many FPS as the RTX 4060.
