Tado° has secured €30 million in funding from Panasonic. The two companies aim to advance the introduction of smart heat pump solutions, as announced today at the International Sanitary and Heating Exhibition (ISH) in Frankfurt.

The announced investment comes one year after the start of the partnership between the two companies, which ensures that Panasonic heat pump products and technologies work with Tado°’s smart heating control and energy management technologies. For customers, the partnership specifically means tailor-made heat pump management that automatically optimizes the Panasonic Aquarea heat pump settings and releases electricity requirements when using dynamic electricity tariffs at favorable times. Changing outdoor temperatures are also taken into account to improve the COP coefficient, the benchmark for heat pump efficiency, and to adapt the heating curve.

Christian Deilmann, co-founder of Tado°, is enthusiastic about winning Panasonic as a new partner for Tado° and announced that the joint offering will be expanded.

Tado° is a European market leader in energy management for private homes and, for example, manufacturer-independent intelligent heating control with smart thermostats and a heat pump optimizer that can optimize both conventional heating systems and heat pumps. Following the takeover of Awattar, Tado° also became a provider of dynamic electricity tariffs, which also began in Germany.

Techastuce received information about this article from Tado° under NDA. The only requirement was that it be published as soon as possible.
