With the X50 Air, Hyte bends as many edges as possible. The design and coloring are reminiscent of the 1960s—with a modern function. However, the is anything but classic and takes modern needs into account with a lot of mesh in the flow-optimized shape.

The X50 Air has curved edges, among other things, in the L-shaped side section, which also includes a cover element. It consists of glass or an optional mesh (late-proof, in lamellar form), which should be particularly breathable. At the rear, however, no classic air vents are used, but blind-shaped elements like those used with air conditioning. They should increase the chassis’ stability while also providing less air resistance than conventional round or hexagonal openings.

1990s Layout

Even with the layout, Hyte uses different—very classic—paths. The is once again located on the main board in a small X50 air chamber and can aid ventilation. For cooling, an 80 or 70 millimeter-thick radiator can be installed behind the front and on the side. In addition, three 120 mm fans fit on the bottom of the case, with one more at the rear. With three front fans, up to ten fans can be installed in the case.

Hyte places special emphasis on cable management. Cable routing is aligned along the side, with additional Velcro cable ties along the back toward the IO ports to bundle cables for the rear connections on the motherboard. The power supply cables can also be stored behind the motherboard above the hard drive cage.

Although the images differ, the X50 Air is largely made of metal. Even the power supply cover isn’t cast from plastic, reports Nexus Gamers (YouTube). Surprising Price

In terms of price, the extravagant shape, which actually suggests high production costs, and the striking color variants are hardly detracting: the X50 with a glass side window costs around $150 plus tax, which should only start at $120 in Europe in the white and black mesh version. Prices of less than 200 euros are also realistic for the top model.
