Acer was already involved as a partner in Intel’s first Arc series and is also offering Nitro series cards for the Battlemage generation. The new graphics cards are available under the names Arc B570 and Arc B580 (details) and are equipped with two fans in a dual-slot design. A special feature is an aluminum backplate.

Intel B-series with OC ex works

Like Intel’s Limited Edition, Acer equips its graphics cards with two fans. Thanks to the short PCB and the corresponding design, it is possible for one fan to release the hot air upwards into the housing. Acer takes advantage of the opportunity and launches Intel graphics chips with a higher clock speed: the Intel Arc B580 is actually planned for 2,670 MHz, while the Nitro drives at 2,740 MHz. When you look at the smaller B570 card, the OC becomes even clearer. Instead of the planned 2,500 MHz, Acer has 2,690 MHz with the Nitro card.

Both cards are powered via an 8-pin connector. The memory remains Intel’s default memory, which includes 12 GB for the “Nitro Intel Arc B580 OC 12 GB” and 10 GB for the smaller B570 model. Graphics outputs include three DisplayPort 2.1 ports and an HDMI 2.1 port. In terms of dimensions, both copies share identical lengths and measure 268 mm × 113 mm × 40 mm. It is possible that the same cooling design is used here. The connection to the motherboard is also via 8 lanes according to the standard.

Acer Smart Space

Acer offers a hardware-friendly HUB specifically for the AI capabilities of its graphics cards. With Acer Intelligence Space, Creator Space, ProCam and Game Assistant come to the desktop. In addition to automatic hardware detection and suggestion of compatible AI applications, Creator Space allows the generation of text-to-image AI images to run on the local computer without any prior knowledge. ProCam, on the other hand, should automatically recognize and record highlights in games and Game Assistant should eventually provide advantages in shooter games thanks to color adjustments and a special “sniper mode”.

The price is still unknown, but Intel wants to compete with AMD and Nvidia

Prices for the new graphics cards have not yet been announced. However, Intel says it wants to be cheaper and faster than the RTX 4060 and Radeon RX 7600 with the B580. Testing and market availability will show if there is enough for both. A total of six board partners are expected to bring the Battlemage models to market.
