Intel Battlemage: Mindfactory sells the Arc B570 a month early 170 comments
Today the Intel Arc B580 Limited Edition testing embargo is lifted, tomorrow the reference and custom designs will officially go on sale. Mindfactory* is already selling today not only the Arc B580 12 GB, but also the Arc B570 10 GB, which will not be officially released until January 16, 2025.
More than a month before the appointment
This is more precisely the ASRock Arc B570 Challenger 10 GB*, which Mindfactory* ships in stock for 260 euros. The same reseller sells the ASRock Arc B580 Challenger 12 GB for 329 euros.
The smaller Battlemage graphics card offers 17% fewer shaders, a lower clock speed, and 2GB less GDDR6 memory than its larger sister model.

No other dealer carries the B570
To date, no other dealer has listed an Arc B570 using the price comparison, let alone sold one. And resellers are also respecting the sales embargo tomorrow Friday for the larger Arc B580: Mindfactory is the only one to announce the products as “available in stock” via the price comparison.

On Sunday afternoon, the card reappeared on Mindfactory* and is available in stock. The price has hardly changed either; you have to pay 260.21 euros*.

The ASRock Arc B570 Challenger 10 GB, sold and shipped by Mindfactory more than a month before the official launch, will be available to buyers provided that they also use the graphics cards in 3D and in computer applications, and not only on the Windows desktop or display them in a window and want to disappoint until the official date of January 16:
Current Intel graphics driver refuses to install; Intel has not yet integrated support for the B570. The official release notes only mention the B580.
Intel’s current graphics driver does not yet support the Intel Arc B570
This is no surprise, as this has also been the case at AMD and Nvidia for years: new graphics cards are only supported in public drivers when they go on sale.
As of Sunday, the Mindfactory* product page has apparently been permanently taken offline. If this was an error/misunderstanding, it was apparently resolved behind the scenes.
The official launch of the Intel Arc B570 10 GB as a smaller brother model to the already available Intel Arc B580 12 GB is announced for January 16 after CES.
