For Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, two DLCs and Patch 1.3 have been released. The free “Horse Racing” DLC doesn’t surprisingly complement horse racing, and with “Brushes with Death,” there’s a new quest line in which Heinrich is tasked with helping an artist complete “the most important painting of his life.”

Colorful Death as DLC

A painted skull, paints, brushes, and a canvas. Heinrich meets a real artist who, as it should be, has a task for Heinrich. The first expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, “Heinrich,” on both maps, features several quests with an artistic background—if necessary, even by force. The DLC also introduces a new feature in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Design. Heinrich’s shield can be painted in various patterns and colors with this DLC. Warhorse Studios promises over a hundred different combinations. Players no longer have to use their shield in the specified coat of arms.

Owners of the Gold Edition of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or the Expansion Pass receive the “Brushes with Death” DLC for free. Owners of the Standard Edition of the will pay around €6. The “Horse Racing” DLC is free for all players.

Horse racing is free.

In addition to the paid DLC, Warhorse Studios is also adding a free expansion to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. The “Horse Racing” in the name is no surprise, with horse races for role-playing and three associated quests. Until now, there have only been a few small races as part of the quests or its quieter phases. Now, Heinrich can use the horse to demonstrate his skills on various courses. There are even competitions with Arrow and Arrow on horseback. These competitions can be started in the nomad camp in the Trosky region.

Patch updated to version 1.3

The patch is approximately 65 GB with both DLCs, thus more than 80% of the previous game size. Given this size, some changes can again be expected. These affect alchemy, pets, balancing, the barber, combat and training, as well as control and crimes, and many other changes that improve the game. Many quests have also been improved or fixed.

Some changes are briefly discussed here:

Owning a horse should no longer cause problems after the memory/shop, and buying horses in Semin no longer requires returning to Semin if you switch between the Trosky and Kuttenberg regions. If the player rents a bed in an apartment, the room may sometimes be locked. The patch is supposed to fix this problem in four different locations. The teacher icon no longer appears if the NPCs are dead or cannot offer any new training. The movements of cows, butterflies, and glowworms have been optimized. A new tutorial warns the player what happens when sleeping in strange beds. Cumans will no longer appear on the street. Salespeople should no longer leave their shops open, and some doors have been added locks.

All changes, especially bug fixes not mentioned here, can be found in the official changelog on the game’s website.
