Moved again – and this time forward

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was in fact due to be released on February 11, 2025 after a postponement announced in mid-August. Developer Warhorse has now announced another date, but there’s no more waiting. In fact, the medieval role-playing game is now set to appear a week earlier, on February 4, as revealed in the new trailer embedded above. On PC, the game is already listed on Steam and Epic Store and can be added to your wishlist. The game will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.

System requirements in six profiles

The developers have already released the system requirements for the PC two months in advance. Warhorse specifies six configurations, but you should be careful when reading the table: although the graphics preset increases from left to right, this does not necessarily apply to resolution or frame rate. So some weaker processors and graphics cards are further to the right than in the neighboring column on the left.

At least 6 GB of graphics memory is required to play the game smoothly in Full HD at low settings. With WQHD, the requirements increase to 8GB and 12GB for medium and high graphics settings, respectively. For the ultra preset in UHD, the developers are talking about a full 16 GB of VRAM with the GeForce RTX 4080. We are also talking about 32 GB of RAM.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is also rendered on consoles in different resolutions and levels of detail depending on the model. On the “normal” PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S you also have a choice between performance and quality, with AMD FSR still used. Kingdom Enter more beautiful and bigger

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II takes players back to medieval Bohemia of the early 15th century, where they can explore an open game world divided into two areas, twice as large as the first part and again implemented in a further modified CryEngine. Among other things, we also go to Trosky Castle and Kutná Hora. According to the developers, it is one of the largest medieval cities ever to appear in a video game.

As in the first part, the emphasis is placed on a realistic representation of everyday and medieval life. Deliverance II, for example, contains no fantasy elements. Nevertheless, the developers promise an exciting plot. As a former blacksmith’s son and self-taught knight, his goal is to avenge the death of his own parents, with the Hungarian king, Sigismund of Luxembourg, appearing as the antagonist during the course of the plot. More recently, there was talk of a production with more than 5 hours of cutscenes.

In terms of gameplay, Warhorse promises a full-fledged role-playing experience. Player actions must have a lasting impact on the game world. Heinrich’s appearance, abilities and equipment will be customizable within certain limits and, once again, moral decisions will be made constantly. For example, blacksmithing and archery are available as side activities. Long-range combat will play a more important role this time. Crossbows and early black powder firearms can be seen in the trailer.
