LattePanda Mu: Micro x86 computer is upgraded to Intel’s N305 17 comments

The LattePanda Mu microcomputer receives a processor upgrade with Intel’s Core i3-N305, which the manufacturer also provides with more RAM compared to last year’s model. The LattePanda Mu was launched last year as a compute module with Intel N100 and 8GB of RAM for just $99.
Dual cores and dual RAM
The new model with Intel N305 and 16 GB of RAM is no longer so cheap, because the new model costs $259 as a compute module. The predecessor with N100 and 8GB RAM has now also become more expensive at the regular price of US$139. The N100 and 16GB of RAM are available for $169.
Intel’s N305 offers eight processor cores, while the N100 only has four. It also runs higher, between 3.8 and 3.4 GHz in maximum Turbo.
The new model continues to use the same dimensions and interfaces as its predecessor, which means that LattePanda can guarantee unlimited compatibility with all expansions and support cards from the previous model.

Pricing and availability
The new LattePanda Mu is available now for $259. The LattePanda Mu Lite Support Board costs $39, and a LattePanda Mu Active Cooler costs $19. With these you can easily implement a self-built project for a mini PC with the LattePanda Mu. Compact enclosures for 3D printers also already exist.
