Logitech Pop Icon: Colorful keyboard and mouse combo relies on fun buttons and AI feedback 21

With Pop Icon Keys and Pop Icon Mouse, Logitech creates a flat, colorful mouse and keyboard combo for Android, iOS, Windows and Mac OS. Both have emoji buttons and action buttons that can be programmed via the Options app. AI also plays a role.
Flat keyboard with rubber
The Icon products are available in a total of four color combinations. The 32.5 × 13.7 × 2.2 cm keyboard is a model with a 75% layout with flat, rubber-domed keys. This makes it a cheaper alternative to the Pop Keys (test) with mechanical buttons in a typewriter design.
Two AAA batteries guarantee a maximum service life of three years for the Pop Icon Keys. Like the mouse, data is transmitted via Bluetooth Low Energy; connection is possible with up to three devices. A Logi-Bolt receiver can also be used with the Icon Keys. However, it is not included in the scope of delivery and must be purchased separately.
Flache Office Mouse
In addition to the keyboard, Logitech offers the four-button Pop Icon Mouse, which is reminiscent of the Pebble M350. It has a scroll wheel that also varies the scrolling speed depending on the operating speed. The buttons should also be particularly quiet. The sampling rate can be selected between 1,000 (standard) and 4,000 dpi.
The 105 × 59 × 35 mm mouse is powered by an AAA battery, which should last a maximum of 24 months. The weight of the rodent and the power source is 58 grams. With these basic data, the mouse is particularly suitable for office use.

Emojis are “fun”
Both input devices are also advertised with software benefits and quick access options. “The top button stands for fun,” Logitech writes about the mouse. This is the emoji button under the mouse wheel, which should quickly lead to emotional faces. Like the four contrasting color side keys of the keyboard, it can also be programmed in other ways using the Logi Options+ app.
The app also offers different assignments in “work mode” and “break mode”, in which links to work programs can be replaced by links to social networks. It also advertises quick access to “AI tools such as Logi AI Prompt Builder” – ChatGPT for answering emails. Techastuce had already examined the actual added value of the emoji quick menu and the additional options using the Logitech MK950 (test) – it is minimal for fairly experienced users. The company had already emphasized that there was a possible future for Logitech by mentioning a subscription mouse.
Up to 80 euros
Logitech charges around 80 euros for the mouse and keyboard set. The “Icon Keys Combo” is also available exclusively in the color combination Rose / Off-White. The mouse, which costs around 30 euros, and the keyboard, which costs just under 60 euros individually, are only available in the other three color combinations. Logitech already offers a matching headset, webcam and desk mat in its range.
