Logitech has re-released the PowerPlay Mouse Pad (Review), which charges a compatible Logitech mouse while playing. Logitech Powerplay 2 offers a larger loading area, is thinner and less expensive than its predecessor. 10 mice that energy never runs out with infinite battery life are now compatible.
The Lade Mauspad Powerplay 2 charges the compatible mouse on it in idle state and during use. It is the only such system on the market. Due to the constant power supply, there is no concern about the battery level of the wireless gaming mouse and the cable can be completely distributed. The 1st generation mouse and mouse pad from the 2017 test are still serving the editorial team without having been operational.
Slim and larger cargo area
The revised Powerplay 2 Pad is a bit slimmer than the first generation. Instead of 4mm, it is now 3.5mm thick. The loading area was also increased by 15%, although the store only broke in the first generation when you reached the edge of the mouse pad with the mouse case. In order to be able to cover the largest possible area, Logitech does not focus on the open QI standard for wireless charging, but uses proprietary technology. The technology is based on a low-frequency electromagnetic field, which is transmitted directly to the mouse via the Powerplay 2 charging core – a charging core is part of the scope of delivery of the mouse pad. So the mouse can also be charged while gaming without affecting the performance of the wireless Logitech-G-LightSpeed technology.

Mouse pad itself only minimally larger
The Powerplay-2 Mouse PAD measures 344 × 284 mm, so it is 4 mm larger in area in each direction than the first generation of 340 × 280 mm. The 15% increase in the loading area is therefore not only explained by a larger mouse pad, because its size has only increased by 2.6%. The loading spacing at the edge of the cushion has reduced. A USB A connection (at least USB 2.0) is required for connection to the PC. The cable is 1.8 meters long.
10 Logitech mice are compatible
The mouse charging core is a prerequisite for inductive stores. It can also be switched between different compatible mice. PowerPlay 2 supports a total of ten Logitech mice: the Logitech Pro X Superlight 2 Dex, Pro X Superlight 2, Pro X Superlight, Pro Wireless, G903, G703, G502 Other models should follow over time.

Pricing and availability
Logitech Powerplay 2 will be available in stores from March 11, 2025. The recommended retail price is 109 euros. This represents 20 euros less than the RRP of Mausspad Powerplay in the first generation, or 129 euros in 2017. The first generation is currently available in stores for 101 euros.
