With the M7, POCO now has a significantly cheaper smartphone starting at €240, with the M7 even available starting at €200. To this end, buyers primarily receive a fast 120 Hz AMOLED display and a larger 5,110 mAh battery. The features also include ports for microSD cards and headphones. 40 euros cheaper at the start
The POCO M7 starts today at 239.90 euros with 8 GB/256 GB and 259.90 euros with 12 GB/256 GB. 120 Hz Fast AMOLED Display
Buyers of the POCO M7 receive a 75.7 × 162.4 × 7.99 mm smartphone with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports up to 120 Hz. The panel is said to have up to 2,100 cd/m² in the surface area, up to 1,200 cd/m² and above for individual highlights. According to POCO, it also fully covers the DCI P3 color space. The company relies on Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as a protective glass.
MediaTek Dimensity 7025 MIT Octa-core CPU
The Dimensity 7025 is a 6nm lower-midrange SoC from MediaTek that combines the older CPU cores of the ARM Cortex-A78 (two) and Cortex-A55 (six) with an octa-core processor. Imagination Technologies (IMG) uses the BXM-8-256 GPU for the GPU. POCO pairs the chip with 8GB or 12GB of LPDDDR4X, which is cheaper than LPDDR5, which the Dimensity 7025 also supports. The 256GB storage is UFS 2.2. Small M7

On the rear, a usable 50 MP, f/1.5, and optical image stabilization (OIS) camera should be sufficient. POCO relies on the large 1/1.95″ Sony IMX882, which also supports dual zoom in the sensor. The second camera is used only to record depth information to create a bokeh effect in portraits. The selfie camera in the display reaches 20 MP.
The battery can be charged at 45 watts
The battery is relatively large at 5,110 mAh, for which POCO doesn’t specify any runtime other than “all day and beyond.” According to the manufacturer, the battery can be charged from 0 to 62% at up to 45 watts in 30 minutes. After 1,600 charge cycles, more than 80% of the original capacity should still be available.
Additional features
The smartphone’s additional features include IP64 protection against dust and splash water, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, dual SIM support, an infrared interface, and a stereo speaker. POCO The M7 ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0, which is based on Android 14. POCO did not provide any information about software support in the announcement.
