The latest Monster Hunter Wilds was released today and is garnering a lot of negative reviews. Based on today’s player peak, it turns out that not many players are impressed. There is also a road map.
Play with three editions
Japanese game developer Capcom today released the final part of the Monster-Hunter World Series. Available on Steam, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, it costs 70 euros as a standard version on the Steam gaming platform and 90 euros for consoles. The Deluxe Edition costs 90 euros on Steam and the Premium Deluxe Edition can be purchased for 110 euros. With the console prices, an additional charge of ten euros can be expected in all editions – that is, 100 euros or 120 euros.
The life together of humans and monsters
In the Monster Hunter universe and also in the world of Monster Hunter Wilds, an attempt to experience the harmonious coexistence of people and monsters is very difficult. Even though there are peaceful herbivores and monsters, there are also more dangerous monsters who want to go to the pass and disturb this harmony. That’s why hunters come together alone or in online co-op to eliminate said dangerous monsters.
Something good also happens between the whole thing: a boy named Nata was rescued on the border of the forbidden country – this region is considered an undisturbed zone for the guild. But now you know something new about Nata: a mysterious monster attacked Nata’s village and he narrowly escaped. Full of new knowledge of knowledge, the guild now decides to organize an expedition to the forbidden land. Once there try to find the monster, it also turns out to be the “White Spirit” monster and it attacked a guardian. The hunters decided to save him.

Well-equipped hunters
Due to the given dynamics of trying to live with monsters, hunters also adapt accordingly. That is why there is a suitable weapon for all types of hunters: a scoped bow, an old modeled spear with a shield or even a horn wary of a bagpipe and more is available. Likewise, it is not only important for hunters in Monster Hunter Wilds to look good with shiny armor, but also to upgrade them according to the next danger ahead. There’s a lot of work behind it, because while some armor pieces or weapons can be forged after defeating a monster, not all armor sets can always be earned. Instead, the hunter can face the monster at least once. This is how hunters fight with the most dangerous monster.
The chart is also “wild”
Monster Hunter has collected a lot of fans over the many years, who were very eager for the title, plus the shock that the game is considered “not recommended” by less than half of the reviews on Steam. Out of more than 10,000 reviews, only 47% recommend it. Most of the game’s mainly implemented optimization is criticized. Accidents are often reported. The game’s graphics performance was also discussed in a Computer Core community benchmark. Results There were equally disappointing – aesthetically, it just doesn’t let it work as a performance game.
However, some reviewers are also annoyed that the game in the benchmark is much better than in the actual game. Graphics errors occur both inside and outside the minimum requirements. Nevertheless, many players are not impressed and view the graphical problems on Steam rather calmly or even humorously. And the Player Peak on Steam-DB also shows that there are still incentives to continue playing the game. So far the highest peak is 1,307,976 players and at the moment almost 900,000 users are involved. The gameplay is praised by many players and even names some of the best monster hunter games but only because of the graphics.
The future of the wild begins now
It is clear from Capcom that the game is receiving further updates, as the roadmap showed a few weeks ago.
You can see the first spring update which shows the “Monster Mizutsune”. There should also be “additional content” quests and events and in summer there is at least one more monster and additional event quests.
