Retro design still finds its place. In addition to the Silverstone FLP01 with fake floppy disk, there is always room for models with retro design reminiscent of the 60s and 70s. The Montech Heritage (Pro) is one such case for the Micro form factor. ATX with faux leather.

According to the , the model is intended to combine “fashion” and “functionality”. This is emphasized by the front, sides and strap made of “ecological leather”, i.e. vegan, i.e. artificial leather. The case can also be worn with the strap; it should be able to support a load of up to 40 kilograms.

Layout? Standard

Behind this eye-catching design lies a fairly ordinary Micro-ATX tower with the layout of a compact case. However, a volume of more than 40 liters does not force the Heritage to require great contortions or flexibility – models like the A3-mATX (test) can still save a lot of space here.

The Heritage leaves the ground free and the is moved behind the facade. With five expansion slots, even larger can be air fed directly from the bottom of the tower. Additional 120mm fans mount to the side panel, rear and under the lid. It is also possible to mount a 360mm radiator on it.

Depending on its size, the power supply must be moved downwards, which imposes a “limit” on graphics cards of 360 millimeters in length. This is currently not achieved. The generous space also highlights the height limit of coolers: 170 millimeters is not a restriction in today’s market.

Fan only in Pro

Fans must be purchased. Only the Heritage Pro comes with three inverted fans and one regular fan, all four fans remain off. Additionally, the Pro model has a headset mount that attaches to the carry strap receptacle. All versions of the case are equipped with dust filters on the top and bottom. Montech does not reveal where the are connected, but it is assumed that the usual position is behind the motherboard.

The Montech Heritage is available in black-brown or white-brown from around 90 euros, the Pro version costs a good 20 euros more.
