Alongside the presentation of Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon-G , the first gaming PCs based on chips were unveiled. The fastest G3 Gen 3 chip is in the Ayaneo S2 Pocket and a customizable OnexSugar 1 with dual screens. The G1 Gen 2 is available with the Retroid Pocket Classic in Gameboy style.

Ayaneo Pocket S2 and Gaming Pad

The Ayaneo Pocket S2, with its 6.3-inch display, seamlessly integrates the front window to the left and right of the haptic controls, which are perfectly positioned. The design already existed in the predecessor with the Snapdragon G3 Gen 2, while the Pocket S2 features the new G3 Gen 3, which, according to Qualcomm, 30% more CPU and 28% more GPU performance. The IPS display boasts a 2K resolution, and the diagonal is slightly larger than its predecessor’s sleek 6-inch display.

Ayaneo also announced a gaming tablet with the same Snapdragon platform. The “Gamepad” is said to have an 8.3-inch, 1440p, 120 Hz LCD, reports Authority. The Pocket S2 is expected to be available this month, while the Gamepad is expected in May 2025.

One-Netbook Onexsugar Onexsugar 1

The Onexsugar 1 from One-Netbook is much more unusual. It’s supposed to be the first Android gaming laptop to not only have a dual screen, but can also switch between them. The 3DS-style second screen can be folded or removed completely from the classic regular mode. The controllers, reminiscent of ‘s joysticks, can also be folded depending on the mode.

For the dual-screen, variable-display handheld, One-Netbook is still seeking support through a crowdfunding campaign. It should still take some time before the market launch if enough money is raised. Pre-orders should be possible from May.

Retroid Pocket Classic

The Retroid Pocket Classic, which was already announced a few days ago, appears in gaming mode. At that time, however, it was not yet necessary to reveal the chip inside the small handheld in detail. Now, it is clear that it is the Snapdragon G1 Gen 2, which marks the new entry-level model.

The Pocket Classic comes with a 3.92-inch AMOLED display, which offers a resolution of 1240 × 1080 pixels and is expected to achieve a brightness of 500 cd/m². The Snapdragon processor is complemented by 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of EMMC-5.1 memory, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The built-in battery offers a capacity of 5,000mAh and can be charged at up to 27W.

Pre-orders for the Pocket Classic should still be possible in March, but the product pages currently only list it as “sold” at a price of $129.
