New housing from Be Siet!: Pure Base 501 LX and DX Glow 14 comments differently colored

Be quiet! launched two new housings on the market on March 11. It’s quiet! Pure Base 501 LX and DX are based on the same structure, but differ in the type of lighting. The Pure Base 501 LX relies on illuminated fans and has a fan center. The Pure Base 501 DX uses LED strips on the front and inside.
The same basic structure and other similarities
Both housings are about 9 kg and have a volume of 48 L. You have exactly the same dimensions of 450 × 231 × 463 mm (L × W × H) on the millimeter. Both cases can absorb mainboards according to ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX standards. They offer assembly locations for up to five 2.5-inch and two 3.5-inch hard drives, the latter in a decoupled hard drive cage. The PCIe slots can be rotated 90 degrees so that graphics cards can be used vertically using a riser cable. A maximum of six fans can be installed for cooling: one 120 or 140 mm fan at the rear, two 120 or 140 mm fans in the lid and at the front two 140 mm fans or three 120 mm fans. Water cooling radiators can be installed at the same position. The lid is limited to a maximum of 240 mm radiators, at the rear even only 140 mm, as with most PC cases. Up to 360 mm radiators can be installed at the front, including 280 mm. Power supplies are limited in length to 200 mm and graphics cards to 368 mm, CPU coolers can be a maximum of 178 mm high.
Pure base 501 lx with colored fans
The Pure Base 501 LX looks a lot like the Pure Base 501 Air Flow window, but the four pre-installed fans of the LX lightweight wings are illuminated and there is an Argb button in the I/O panel to change the lighting. Inside, a PWM Argb hub for six fans makes assembly and cable management easy. The front and cover are designed as a mesh for fresh air supply. The I/O panel is located on the front of the case, it has a power and reset button, the button for Argb controllers and three USB 3.2 sockets, including USB-C.

Pure Base 501 DX has light strips instead of RGB fan
The Pure Base 501 DX has three pre-installed fans from Be Tiel!. The Pure Wings 3 have a size of 140 mm, can be speed checked by PWM and are completely non-relaxed. But the Argb fans don’t have to do colorful lighting, the inside and front are mounted ARB led strips, which can be controlled as in the LX button via the I/O panel or via connection to the main board. The DX also gets its fresh and hopefully cooler air through the so-called airflow panels up front or dispose of it in the lid.

Pricing and availability
The RRP of the base pure 501 lx is around 140 euros for the black and 145 euros for the white version. The pure base 501 DX is also available in black and white. The RRP is around 125 euros for the black and 130 euros for the white version. Both cases are available in stores starting March 11, 2025.
