New physical release: Doom and Doom II come to the box where 65 commentaries can be played

More than 30 years after publication, Doom and Doom II receive a new physical version for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PC via publisher Limited Run Games in cooperation with Bethesda. In the “Will It Run Edition” this also includes a box on which Doom can be played directly.
In three versions, Limited Run Games wants to offer the new editions of the shooters published in 1993 and 1994 from April 18 to May 18.
Standard edition for game consoles
It starts with the standard edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo change at a price of $29.99. The standard edition consists of Doom and Doom II, The Original Expansion Packs, The New Episode Legacy of Rust and the two episodes Sigil and Sigil II, which for the first time receive a physical release.

Large-area edition also for PC
For $99.99, the Big Box Edition begins, which in addition to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Nintendo Switch, also covers PC in the form of a Steam code. This includes all the contents of the standard edition as well as a set of four compact cassettes for the soundtracks (complete base and complete idkfa) of both games. There is also a trading card made up of five tale collection cards. The Limited Racing Games packs it all into a large collectible box with artwork from Doom and Doom II.

The bird (or rather, the demon), on the other hand, is selling its edition for $666. In addition to the Big Box Edition, this includes a Collector’s Edition box with a built-in screen and USB ports, so Doom can be played directly on the packaging. Depending on limited run games, any controller can be connected to the USB ports to play the shooter on the box.
If that’s not crazy enough, the publisher also includes a mini game console with a small screen in the shape of a cacodemon, on which Doom can also be played. There’s also a floating cacodemon as a character. A certificate of authenticity is required to complete the Will Run Edition, which is limited to 666 units. Will it run the edition?
Another Doom merchandise
Limited Run Games is also launching a new Doom merchandise item, which includes a controller developed in collaboration with CRKD in the “Hell-Red” design of the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) keys known from the games. The publisher is also bringing the collector cards contained in the large box and will run the edition separately as monster booster cards, with five random cards included in each pack. A signed cacodemon recruit card is particularly rare.
