The exclusivity had actually been extended by Nintendo in January to March, but now Alarmo is available to everyone a little earlier.
From early March to mid-February
In October 2024, Nintendo initially announced Alarmo Alarms exclusively for Switch online subscribers and promised general availability for January of this year. However, after the Japanese office had to push back general availability due to delivery bottlenecks to late 2024, Nintendo Germany followed in January and began a new appointment in March.
Kostet Alarm 99.99 Euro
On the Nintendo Alarmo product page, it still says general availability on March 6: “Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo will initially be available for sale until March 6, 2025 as a temporary offer for Nintendo Switch online members.” In the My Nintendo store, however, Alarmo can be found without the constraint for a Switch online subscription at the price of 99.99 euros. However, the store requires a free Nintendo account to order and limits the product to four Alarmos per customer.
Nintendo game sound effects
Apart from the previous control problem, Alarmo is initially a classic alarm clock, in which users can choose a title and scene that accompany the alarm clock at the time of setting. The alarm clock then plays music and sound effects over the scene that was previously selected. 35 different alarm calls from five Nintendo games are available, including Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure. After linking the alarm clock to a Nintendo account, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are added as free updates.

On request, a wake-up call can be set, which intensifies the longer the person stays in bed, while the soft wake-up call remains loud. According to Nintendo, the button shock call is ideal when a traditional alarm clock is preferred.
Motion sensor for sleep statistics
Nintendo equipped the alarm with a motion sensor and can determine when and how often the user moved in bed, how long they spent in bed and how long it took to get up. Nintendo characters appear on screen and react to movements. Users can also enable a timed tone which is meant to support daily routines with Nintendo Sounds. Nintendo recommends aligning the screen in the center of the bed and placing 0-20 cm above the bed.
Alarmo should also provide relaxation with sleep sounds to the user. They are reproduced when the user goes to bed.
