The flagship Nitro+ series has a special feature: a 12V-2×6 socket is hidden under a magnetic backplate. Sapphire adds an adapter for the 3×8 pin.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ is approximately 13 inches long and takes up 3.2 slots with its massive cooler. The board has 12 layers and houses a 16-phase VRM design in addition to the GPU. A diagram shows the structure of the cooler, the radiator of which is crossed by six heat horns. The three fans (triple-X cooling) can be disassembled relatively quickly for cleaning, as only one screw is required. A steel frame holds the whole thing together and the scope of delivery includes an L-shaped bracket, which gives the graphics card more stability in the case.

The Sapphire RX 9070 XT Nitro+ is overclocked to 3,060 MHz Boost Ex Works – the highest clock in the manufacturer’s portfolio. Analogous to this, the TBP (total card power) is increased to 330 watts.
RX 9070 XT Pure
A little quieter is the pure Sapphire RX 9070 XT, which is kept in white, which operates with a maximum of 3,010 MHz. With a length of 32 cm and towers, it is a little more compact. Voltage controllers are reduced by a quarter to 12 phases. The magnetic backplate is also missing and instead of the 12V-2×6 socket, two classic 8-pin sockets are installed. The TBP increased only slightly by 317 watts. However, there is also a frame and external support for added stability.

Rx 9070 XT Pulse
The Pulse series forms the beginning and did not overclock (2970 MHz increase), so the TBP remains at the same time with the AMD specification of 304 watts. However, Sapphire also promises 12 phases here and apparently the same cooler of the pure variant based on the identical dimensions.

RX 9070 Nitro + and Pure
Except for the smaller GPU, Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+ and Radeon RX 9070 match your XT siblings described above. Both clock in the boost with 2,700 MHz and are specified with 245 watts.

Pulse RX 9070
However, the RX 9070 Pulse dances offline, as it is the only new performance with only two instead of three fans. In accordance with this, the graphics card with a length of 28 cm is a little shorter and also “only” 2.5 slots. At the standard clock of 2,520 MHz in the boost, the TBP with 220 watts also matches AMD’s specification.

New Trixx software
At the same time, Sapphire announces a new version of the Trixx software, which should receive a modern and tidy user interface. The readability of the live reading data must also be improved and a new Argb mode “comet” and new profiles are found.
Pricing and availability
Sapphire hasn’t called yet. However, the portfolio will be based on AMD minimum prices, which in the US are $599 before tax for the Radeon RX 9070 XT and $549 before tax for the Radeon RX 9070.
The official start of sales falls on March 6. The first test reports can be expected a day before.
Everything worth knowing about the next generation Radeon is in the launch article and is discussed by Jan and Fabian in the podcast.
