The cooling and fan manufacturer Arctic is presenting itself today with an unusual joke for its wallet: a mini fridge. With a capacity of 4 liters, the Arctic fridge holds six 0.33-liter cans of drinks and is now available.
After the press release arrived, the editorial team initially believed that today was one of the April Fools’ jokes. But when asked, Arctic confirmed that it wasn’t one—the day wasn’t chosen by chance. With dimensions of 27.5 × 19.5 × 29 cm, the Arctic refrigerator is small, but according to the manufacturer, it offers space for six 0.33-liter cans or four 0.5-liter cans. If necessary, the shelf insulation can be removed. At 1.8 kg, the weight is still practical. The volume is given as 28 dBA in the company.
Power is supplied via the AC power supply with 110 to 240 volts or the car connection via the supplied 12-volt DC adapter. The cooling mode can be switched from cooling mode (18-22°C) to heating mode by pressing the rear button, which keeps food warm up to 65°C.
The Arctic mini refrigerator can now be ordered directly from Arctic at an RRP of 59.99 euros. It costs €49.99* via Amazon and €50.99* (eBay) on eBay – shipping is free.
Arctic explains that this is a merchandising item. This complements the mouse pad and key ring in the previous wallet of this type.
