Nvidia has released the GeForce 566.36 driver for Windows 10 and Windows 11, which is not only ready for the game “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle”, which will be playable for buyers of the expensive editions from tomorrow, but also replaces GeForce Experience with the NVIDIA App.
Game ready for Indiana Jones
After Bethesda recently announced the system requirements for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Nvidia is offering a version optimized for the game with the new graphics card driver before the release. However, this does not change the high hardware requirements. Since the game still uses ray tracing, at least an AMD Radeon RX 6600, an Nvidia RTX 2060 Super or an Intel Arc A580 are required. With “full ray tracing”, i.e. path tracing, which is the most precise way to render light and lighting effects, the hardware requirements increase significantly. Indiana Jones also supports DLSS 3 with Frame Generation and Super Resolution. DLSS ray reconstruction is coming soon.
Nvidia is also publishing its own benchmarks in UHD, WQHD and Full HD at the game’s release, intended to illustrate the performance gains thanks to the use of DLSS 3.
Optimizations for Warhammer, Forza and Delta Force
Other games that support DLSS 3 should also benefit from the new driver. In addition to Indiana Jones, Nvidia explicitly mentions Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Marvel Rivals as well as Path of Exile 2, Forza Motorsport and Delta Force. Forza Motorsport will introduce Ray-Traced Global Illumination lighting with the next update on December 9, while Warhammer 40,000 will introduce DLSS Generation 3 Frame with the next update. Integrated Nvidia app
The new driver no longer integrates GeForce Experience, but now comes with the Nvidia application. Techconseil has already detailed in a report the changes and benefits of the Nvidia application, which replaces the Control Panel and GeForce Experience.
