In addition to the new H9 Flow and H3 Flow cases, NZXT is also introducing a new AIO water cooler. While the previous Octopus series, the Octopus Plus, is being reissued with and without RGB, NZXT is introducing its first AIO cooler with a 420mm fan with the Kraken Elite 420.

Kraken Elite now with 420mm

NZXT has released a 420mm fan in 2024. This is NZXT’s first AIO water cooler in this size. Like its smaller siblings, the Octopus Elite RGB 420 relies on NZXT Singleframe fans, in which up to three fans are installed in a frame, depending on the model, and are also controlled as a single unit. In addition to fewer cables, the fan frame also features lighting elements on all sides.

The radiator measures 457 × 140 × 27 mm. The other technical specifications for the pump and display are the same as those of the new AIO, with the display measuring 2.72 inches in diameter and offering a resolution of 640 × 640 pixels and a maximum brightness of 690 cd/m².

The 420mm Octopus Elite is only available as an RGB variant. Without lighting, the Octopus Elite is only available as a 240mm or 360mm branch. The new Octopus Elite RGB 420 is compatible with all common desktop sockets around LGA 1851, 1200, 115X, 1700, and and AM4. NZXT does not specify availability. The price is specified at around 345 euros, which can be classified as high compared to comparable competitive coolers in the 420mm class and street prices, sometimes well below the 300 euro mark.

Kraken Plus replaces the Octopus

NZXT also presents the new Kraken Plus series, which replaces the Octopus series introduced in 2023. An improved pump unit should ensure that it represents around four percent more cooling capacity. The installation process has also been simplified. Like the Kraken Elite models, the RGB models receive the single-frame fan.

The small display integrated into the pump unit remains unchanged and continues to measure 1.54 inches. The resolution is 240 x 240 pixels, and the TFT display has a brightness of 300 cd/m². NZXT does not announce availability at Computex 2025. The retailers that have been announced can be found in the table below.
