AMD‘s second-generation socket AM5 motherboards (Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000G, Ryzen 9000) are now available in stores along with the X870E and X870 motherboards (report). In addition to the major equipment manufacturers, NZXT is also back in the game. The range remains faithful to tradition: there is an all-white version and an all-black version.
NXZT N9 X870E: contrast is king
To this end, the NZXT N9 X870E not only relies on large bezels, but also offers a suitably colored PCB. However, the white N9 is not completely white: soldered connections, DIMM slots and other components provide black contrast.
In addition to one PCIe x16 slot with a maximum of PCIe 5.0 and one with a maximum of PCIe 3.0, the card offers an M.2 slot with a maximum of PCIe 5.0 between the CPU and GPU as well as three M.2 slots additional. under the massive, one-piece “cooling plate”. on the front. Unlike the X870(E) cards from ASRock, Asus, Gigabyte or MSI, the new models from NZXT are not yet commercially available. This should not happen before early 2025. The manufacturer has not yet commented on prices. The predecessor based on the B650E, the NZXT N7 B650E, costs 300 euros.
