Team Group Expert P35S: The SSD, which can be destroyed in an emergency by Killswitch, 93 comments
Tom Cruise knows this only too well in his role as Ethan Hunt: secret information on data carriers that can self-destruct so that no one can obtain the data. At least, direct data destruction at the push of a button promises Team Group with the very special external experts, the P35 Experts.
Physical Data Destruction
Team Group designed the P35 Experts with a self-destruct function for the agents, the creator, and the journalists. It has a switch that implemented the two-stage destruction to protect against unwanted activity. Team Group refers to physical data destruction (a physical destruction circuit for the chips). The SSD is therefore unusable afterward and dies with the deleted information, which would not be restored. 2 TB and USB-C with 10 Gbps
Aside from the unusual kill switch function, it’s relatively compact, though by no means the smallest external SSD with dimensions of 90 × 40 × 18 mm (L × W × H) and 42 grams. The 2 TB storage capacity can be accessed via USB 3.2 GEN 2 (10 Gbps) on the USB-C connector. Data transfer speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s are unclear. It’s unclear whether this applies only to reading or writing. Availability and pricing are still unknown for the ComputeX presentation.
