RADEON RX 9060 XT: Dealer lists ASUS TUF, Prime, and Dual with 8GB and 16GB 24 comments
It’s no secret that AMD will be using its own Computex press conference on May 21st to unveil the Radeon RX 9060 XT. However, it wasn’t yet clear whether the 8GB and 16GB VRAM expansion would be specific. A screenshot of the first ASUS models now provides some clarity.
One name with two graphics cards
According to this, the NAVI-44 GPU in question will actually offer two different memory configurations as the RX 9060 XT, similar to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (review). Even the smallest rDNA 4 graphics card (?) is around 16 GB on the one hand, and the extremely problematic 8 GB of VRAM on the other, which is expected to be released in 2025, is likely to be a source of controversy among graphics card buyers. Nvidia’s decision to ultimately produce fundamentally different models under the same name has drawn considerable criticism.

AMD apparently can’t be deterred by this, as a screenshot of ASUS’s four model offerings shows a dealer or distributor who isn’t mentioned by name. As a result, the Dual ASUS RX 9060 XT will be available with 8GB of graphics memory, while the TUF is always offered with 16GB of VRAM. The Prime model variant is listed with both memory expansion stages. This representation of Asus’s offering is likely not exhaustive.
Market launch in June?
It’s safe to assume that both Radeon RX 9060 XT models will go on sale a few weeks after the June presentation. Prices are unknown. AMD’s first 8GB graphics card, the Radeon R9 390 (review), hit the market exactly 10 years ago in June 2015 for €310.
