How fast will AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT be? Another unconfirmed answer to this question is provided by new benchmarks, according to which the RDNA 4 graphics card comes very close to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super. It seems very likely that the boost clock will be around 3 GHz.
Neuer Benchmark-Fuite
As in recent days, the Chiphell forum, known for its leaks, provides more information on AMD’s new generation of GPUs. In summary and this time without real screenshots, alleged performance measurements of the Radeon RX 9070 XT in two games have been published and compared with models from Nvidia.
In Cyberpunk 2077 with ray tracing, the alleged Radeon RX 9070 XT is almost on par with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super. The GeForce RTX 4080 Super has a comfortable lead, which is between 19 and 25 percent depending on the resolution.
The AMD graphics card performs best with classic rasterization in the game Black Myth Wukong. Depending on the resolution, it is between 7 and 11 percent ahead of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The lead of the GeForce RTX 4080 Super is reduced to 2 to 10 percent.
Previously, the results of 3DMark Speedway and 3DMark Time Spy Extreme appeared in the same place. Here, too, the images quickly disappeared from the respective thread, but were saved in time by the users.
It should be noted in all benchmarks that there is still no final driver for the RX-9070 series. AMD recently pointed this out publicly. Even if the benchmarks are real, they do not necessarily reflect the final performance.
3 GHz boost almost guaranteed
There was also a screenshot with the GPU-Z tool, supposedly certifying that an RX 9070 XT has a boost clock of around 3GHz. VideoCardz now wants to be able to confirm such a clock level from its own sources. As a result, the Radeon RX 9070 XT runs at 2,970 MHz and an overclocked PowerColor RX 9070

For the first time, information on the clock speeds of the smaller Radeon RX 9070 is also provided. This clock is significantly lower at 2,520 MHz. In percentage terms, overclocked models with around 2,700 MHz in the Red Devil version gain significantly more.
Additionally, VideoCardz now claims to have confirmed that the RX 9070 XT has 4,096 shader units; There are 3,584 for the RX 9070. The 16 GB of GDDR6 memory at 20 Gbps are now also considered secure. The question of electricity consumption remains unclear. Initially, 265 watts was mentioned for the RX 9070

Reaper series teaser this week
According to recent reports, PowerColor’s new Reaper series will not feature overclocking and is expected to slot below the Hellhound series, while Red Devil will remain the flagship.
PowerColor has hinted that there will be a teaser for the Reaper series later this week. According to VideoCardz, January 15 is likely. The first test reports are expected again on January 22.
