Released in Fall 2025: According to Take-Two, GTA 6 is still on Schedule 10 reviews

Publisher Take-Two Interactive will still release GTA 6 in autumn this year. With this time classification of the game developed by Rockstar Games in Take-Two’s current quarterly report, the title could appear later than expected. But this applies to a PC version.
Grand Theft Auto VI is not only linked to enormous gaming, but also financial expectations from the gaming industry. Rockstar Games released the first trailer only for GTA 6 on December 5, 2023 and promised a release for 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | s.
The PC version is not yet confirmed
In Take-Two Interactive’s current quarterly report, GTA 6 is headed by “Calendar Fall 2025 Launch”, so the game is expected to hit the market in autumn. The version is not yet precisely limited, but the information provides some security. A potential PC release remains unmentioned, but PC versions traditionally appear significantly later than game console versions.
The predecessor Grand Theft Auto V first came for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17, 2013, a good 14 months later PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were the turn before Windows PCS was taken into account on April 14, 2015. Most recently followed on March 15, 2022 revised new editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | s.
Mafia: The Old Country Comes Summer
Also in the pipeline are specific dates Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 (February 11), PGA Tour 2K25 (February 28), and WWE 2K25 (March 14). Mafia: The Old Country is due to follow in the summer before GTA 6 takes its turn in the fall and Borderlands 4 is expected to be released at some point in 2025 with no set date. Bioshock maker Ken Levine’s peephole and project ethics still receive “TBA” (to be announced).
80% sales with in-game content
Take-Two Interactive cost $1.36 billion in the third financial quarter of 2025, which was completed on December 31, 2024, and thus stagnates at least less than $1.366 billion from the previous year. “Recurring consumer spending” accounted for 80% of revenue, that is, sales that do not arise from purchasing new games, but are generated in-game with virtual currency, add-ons, in-game purchases, and advertising. Over 96% of sales were on digital sales and physical copies were only $49 million.
GTA 5 has a paragraph of 210 million units and is based on the number of quantities and sales compared to the highest sales game in the last ten years in the United States. This is followed by Red Dead Redemption 2 with 70 million units over a six year period since release.
