Steam Awards 2024: The finalists have been chosen, voting begins today at 7:46 p.m.

Every year on Steam, the community‘s favorite games are chosen with the end-of-year Steam Awards. This year, you have the choice between 5 titles divided into 11 categories in total. A small reward will be awarded to everyone who participates in the vote.

Below is an overview of the 11 categories of the Steam Awards 2024, in which elections are underway:

The following 5 finalists have been chosen for what is arguably the most prestigious award, Game of the Year:
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2Dark Myth: WukongS.TALKER 2: Heart of ChernobylBalatroHelldiverse 2
Black Myth and Balatro are currently rated “extremely positive”, Warhammer and STALKER 2 are “very good”, and Helldivers 2 is also rated “very good”, at least in the most recent reviews.
In the other categories, there are other heavyweights like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring, both of which compete in the “Work of Love” category.

Voting with reward for participants
Voting starts today, December 19 at 7 p.m. German time and ends on December 31 also at 7 p.m. The winners will also be announced at the same time.
The development studios of the winning games will receive a “nice” (physical) Steam Awards Cup from Steam, and the game will also be visible as a winner on the Steam store page.
All participants will receive a special chat sticker as a reward for each selected category. Anyone with a Steam account is eligible to participate.
