With five new NAS tower and rack-mount backup servers, TerraMaster aims to offer a complete hardware and software backup solution, for which the company has launched the Business Backup Suite.

T9-500 Pro and T12-500 Pro as NAS
The TerraMaster T9-500 Pro and T12-500 Pro are available as tower NASs, with the former holding up to nine 3.5-inch drives, while the latter can hold up to twelve. Both systems rely on an Intel Core i7-1255U processor with ten cores, 12 threads and a turbo clock of up to 4.7 GHz. 16 GB of DDR5 is pre-installed in a module, which can be easily expanded via an additional RAM slot, with up to 64 GB of DDR SODIMM officially supported. For an SSD cache or to use SSDs as volume, the two systems each have two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs in 2280 format. They are connected via PCIe 4.0 x4. Both NAS offer two RJ45 ports for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, which can be grouped via link aggregation.

The TerraMaster T9-500 Pro and T12-500 Pro offer additional interfaces: three 10 Gbps USB-A ports, one 10 Gbps USB-C port and an HDMI 2.0 output. While the T12-500 Pro uses a 500-watt internal power supply, the T9-500 Pro uses a 250-watt model. Both systems are cooled by three 92mm fans.
The T12-500 Pro measures 334 × 163 × 295 mm and weighs 7.9 kg, the T9-500 Pro measures 334 × 135 × 295 mm and weighs 6.5 kg.
Three new rack models
The U4-500 is designed as a rack-mounted model for small offices and features a 4-bay design. It also relies on two 10 GB network connections and offers the same interfaces as the T9-500 Pro and T12-500 Pro, but uses an Intel Pentium 8505 as a processor, which has one performance core and four efficiency cores , and is factory equipped. with 8 GB DDR5 SODIMM. The 45 × 440 × 360 mm server is cooled by three 40 × 40 × 28 mm fans.
The TerraMaster U8-500 Plus and U12-500 Plus are also designed as rack-mount models with space for 8 and 12 drives. They both rely on the Intel Core i7-1255U processor and 16GB of RAM and are technically identical to the T12-500 Pro and T9-500 Pro with one exception. This exception is the additional PCIe slot that both rackmount models have, but which the tower NAS lacks.

TerraMaster Enterprise Backup Suite
Along with the new models, TerraMaster introduced the Business Backup Suite. According to TerraMaster, this suite integrates backup software such as Centralized Backup, TerraSync, Duple Backup, CloudSync as well as snapshot and encryption technologies. It automates backup tasks, reduces human errors, and supports cloud sync and offsite backups. The central management platform of BBS Business Backup Suite is intended to simplify the configuration and monitoring of backup tasks and thus reduce administration costs.
