The Final Part of US Part II: System Requirements Stagnate, PSN Remains Bonus 48 comments

System requirements stagnate in the final part of US. A PSN account is a bonus for Sony this time. For a game set in 2025, The Dark Adventure requires little. Even if everyday settings are used as a baseline, the hardware requirements remain moderate.
On PC, the latest Nvidia DLSS3 from US Part II, as well as AMD FSR 3.1 and FSR4, support resolutions for UltraWideScreen configurations with an aspect ratio of 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9. DLSSS4 with multi-frame generation, on the other hand, is not on board. Additionally, technical changes include various graphical settings for texture, shadow, and light quality, as well as render distance. VSYNC, frame rate limiting, and direct storage are supported.
In addition to the DualSense controller with haptic feedback, mouse and keyboard support, as well as other game modes, is also expected. The controls are hardly worth mentioning—freely verifiable.
PSN becomes a bonus.
Starting April 3rd, the port can be played via Steam and the Epic Games Store. According to the new release, the game will receive two new figures and four maps for the roguelike survival mode. There will be no return mode on all platforms.
No PSN account is required to play on PC. Sony is currently avoiding the controversial reporting requirement, which could hardly be justified for single-player campaigns. Instead, Sony is trying to entice players with login bonuses. If you use your PSN account, you can unlock trophies and earn 50 “bonus points” for the in-game store, which you can use to unlock cosmetic extras, as well as a skin.
Stagnant requirements
Little has changed in terms of system requirements. They are at the same level as their predecessor, with one significant difference: The Last of Us Part II requires more free space. Otherwise, the requirements remain relatively moderate, even for 4K; in principle, an office PC with an upgraded graphics card is sufficient at the lower end.
However, if someone wants to still play at 720p in 2025, it must be open, so basically, the intermediate system seems like a real lower limit. The title requires a six-core processor, 16 gigabytes of RAM, and an older mid-range GPU. The accuracy of this information will be determined by TechAstuce at the start of sales using benchmarks.
