The smallest Blackwell offshoot: GeForce RTX 5060 (TI) in brief, RTX 5050 too? 69 comments
The first four models of the Blackwell generation have arrived more or less. The smaller variants of the new GeForce GPUs will follow soon. The first GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti are expected. Hints of a GeForce RTX 5050 are still very vague.
References to the GEFORCE RTX 5060 TI and the GEFORCE RTX 5060 have been back for months. It is almost certain that these models will come.
Is the RTX 5060 (TI) already presented in March?
April is still the approximate designation of the market launch of the RTX-5060 series. However, the idea should take place this month and it will happen shortly if the recent rumors are right: Videocardz writes about a possible performance on March 13th. A little later, according to a tweet from insider Megasizegu, who writes today that the RTX-5060 family (both models) is presented in about 10 days and is on the dealer’s shelves about a month later (theoretical).
The key data is still unclear. At least there is a lot that the GEFORCE RTX 5060 TI will exist with GB and 8 GB GDDR7 memory. 8 GB is expected for the RTX 5060.
Is there also a GeForce RTX 5050?
There is still a very big question mark behind a GeForce RTX 5050 for desktop systems. A GeForce RTX 4050 has only been available as a laptop version and is no longer for the desktop. Nevertheless, there was a first indication in February when a Chinese OEM had various other desktop graphics cards also entered a GeForce RTX 5050 in a database. It is not certain whether this model will also appear.
Now the rumors are heating up again: The website wants to have learned from an unnamed source that Nvidia also wants to release the previously unconfirmed RTX 5050 in April. This would have 8 GB of memory and would have a TBP of 135 watts.
While the GeForce RTX 5060 is expected to cost around $ 299, the RTX 5050 ranges from USD 199 to 249. That would indeed be surprising: Nvidia has not served such a low price level for a long time.
