With two new cases, Thermaltake is tapping into an unusual segment: the AX500 and AX700 are workstation cases. You can use their wide range of space for a variety of hard drives and large for AI computing.

AX700 is a Classic Super Tower

The AX700 is a classic super tower with a structure that features virtually no more than six hard drive cages for two drives behind the front. There are also external shafts, two of which can be used for 5.25″ drives.

Thanks to additional brackets behind the main board tray, 18 data carriers, as well as XL-ATX main boards, and up to 5 graphics cards in the dual-slot design can be accommodated thanks to 10 expansion slots. The graphics cards support a bracket that also runs the full height of the AX700.

Even with hard drive cages, 360 millimeters are available for the GPU. CPU coolers are only set theoretical limits. The case also approaches full . A maximum of 420 or 360 mm radiators fit at the front, 480 or 560 mm under the lid.

Another special feature of The AX700’s stackability is its versatility: an AX100 socket can be mounted on the top and bottom, allowing for more heatsinks or radiators, up to a maximum size of 480 and 560 mm. However, this comes at a price: Thermaltake charges around €390 for the AX700 in black or white, while the base costs another €145.

AX500 is more conventional

The AX500, which is listed for €184, is expected to be available in about four weeks, but is likely only available in about four weeks. This is the model for gamers or “high-performance workstations,” Thermaltake explains. So, as in principle, the entire MIDI tower in the higher two-digit price range.

The model is divided into the “industrial” front with the AX700, but otherwise relies on a completely conventional structure. There’s plenty of space for coolers and GPUs, but the number of hard drives is screwed to a normal level and to the bottom, where two cages for four drives are located, as well as the usual place behind the motherboard.

The ventilation also remains more conservative, but now complements the options on the and the right side panel. This is also a classic midi tower. Four CT140 fans with a diameter of 140 millimeters are included.
