The thermaltake TR100 is a small ITX case that can optionally be housed in a roller case that the separately for sale. Additionally, the model with a 5.25″ external shaft, which mainly has one function: to retrofit a display module.

At around 20 liters of volume, the TR100 is one of the largest ITX cases, but still small enough to fit the thermaltake optionally sold in a roller case. The components are housed in the TR100 in the sandwich layout.

Sandwich layout explained

The power and main power supply, , which can be 360 ​​millimeters long, run behind a riser cable behind. It can therefore suck air on the side part. The downside of this configuration: CPU coolers only have 70 millimeters available in height, which was limited to the mid-performance class blast models or the AIO water cooler.

CPU coolers, like the SFX power supply, are also supplied directly to the side part with an Air-A restriction which, for example, does not make the Jonsbo Jonsplus Z20, which is equally large. Since the components support case ventilation in this way, dust filters can be found not only on the top, but also on the sides of the case.

For ventilation and ventilation, you can use a maximum of two houses which are located under the cover of the TR100. A 280 or 240 mm radiator also finds space there. Additionally, the case absorbs two 2.5″ drives, each chamber one.

The shaft on the front serves less to use an optical drive, but serves to retrofit a 3.9″ screen, which also offers thermal take for other cases. The LCD screen kit costs around 100 euros and can GIF, system information, time or weather data.

Roll the suitcase for everything

In addition to the case, which is currently available in black, white, green and blue for around 120 euros in color options, Thermaltake also offers a roller case. In the housing, the mouse, the , the and a VR headset – the entire configuration of the computer and the periphery-cany-cany is stored. The manufacturer does not yet provide pricing information.
