After IFA, Lenovo presented a second device under the name Aura Edition at the internal Tech World 2024 trade fair. The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition, developed in cooperation with Intel, is a 2-in-1 1 which aims to be a laptop and a tablet in one device. Lenovo focuses on a light and compact design and Intel Lunar Lake.
Aura Edition was developed with Intel
Under the name Aura Edition, Lenovo describes the devices developed in collaboration with Intel and intended to be proof of the company’s innovations. Beyond hardware, the collaboration, incorporating customer feedback, has also led to the development of “smart modes”, which offer customization according to user needs as well as performance optimizations and AI capabilities for activities such as work, leisure and creativity. Each mode is accessible via a widget and offers personalized settings. Modes include:
Protect yourself with security features like Privacy Alert and Privacy Guard to protect against unwanted snoops and automatically launch your favorite VPN app when connecting to a public Wi-Fi network. Attention helps reduce distractions and focus on the task at hand by keeping users alert. Set timers and turn off notifications. Collaboration improves the virtual meeting experience by optimizing video performance and pre-setting preferred settings such as background blur or low-light enhancement. Well-being can be improved with posture alerts and reduce eye strain with break reminders to improve digital health.
ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition builds on Lunar Lake
After premiering the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition at IFA in September, Lenovo is following up with the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition at Tech World. At 312 × 217 × 18 mm, Lenovo again houses processors from the Intel Core Ultra 200V series, also known as Lunar Lake, in a largely recycled aluminum case, intended to combine a lot of performance with high efficiency . The editorial staff was recently able to prove that both actually work using an Asus Zenbook S 14 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V (test).

Runtimes of up to 18 hours
Lenovo equips the 2-in-1 with a 57 Wh battery that can be replaced by the user and should provide a battery life of up to 18 hours. The charging process is carried out by a compact 65-watt GaN power supply and a USB-C port.
360-degree hinge turns laptop into tablet
The new product is a 2-in-1 that features a 360-degree hinge, so the device can be used as either a laptop or a tablet. In addition to the three touchscreens to choose from, the Yoga Pen, which can be magnetically attached to the case, can also be used for typing. Speaking of input devices: Lenovo once again relies on a keyboard with the famous TrackPoint and optionally offers a haptic touchpad which no longer works mechanically and therefore accepts full-surface input.
The compact design does not preclude versatile connections, as shown in the table at the end of the article. Intel’s wireless platform includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G will be available as an option at a later date.
Placed on the market in February 2025
Lenovo is also widely positioned when it comes to operating systems, where Linux can also be chosen in addition to Windows 11 Home and Pro. With the update to Windows 11 24H2 in November, the device becomes a Copilot+ PC. The ThinkPad
