Nvidia is expanding its Blackwell portfolio for gamers: after the high-end and mid-range graphics cards, the entry-level models follow: the GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB and the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB and 16 GB. All three use the GB206 GPU. The RTX 5060 TI will be released tomorrow for 399 and 449 Euros, the RTX 5060 in May for $299. The details released for publication today are still based on NVIDIA’s information material, which also includes the benchmarks presented below. The complete technical data did not exist in advance under the NDA; they should have been published in parallel in the event of the embargo on geforce.com. Before making a purchasing decision, the editor’s recommendation is therefore clearly to wait for independent reviews, which will also appear under the computer database shortly.

The GeForce RTX 5060 and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (both versions) are based on the GB206 GPU and therefore have some things in common. This also applies to the GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU and the GeForce RTX 5060 GPU presented alongside it. The difference is the number of active units. The GeForce RTX 5060 and GEFORCE RTX 5060 TI also receive the same new EN and Decoder video units as the larger Blackwell cards, as well as the new DisplayPort 2.1 with a maximum bandwidth of UHBR20. The larger GeForce RTX 5000 also offers more NVENC or NVDEC decoders than its predecessors, but with the GB206 derivatives, it’s only one, and therefore the known level.
No founding edition
What will also not exist is a founding edition; the two smaller Blackwell offshoots are sold exclusively in custom designs. In the last generation, there was another 8GB RTX 4060 Ti.
Standing at VRAM
The three new graphics cards appear with the same memory expansion as their predecessors: the RTX 5060 with 8GB and the RTX 5060 Ti with 8 or 16GB. In this generation, the 16GB model is no longer neglected in this generation and is at the beginning of a small number of small numbers, but should at least initially be the focus of the TI class.
Price and Date Comparison
In terms of price, the two variants of the 5060 Ti are only 50 euros apart from this generation, according to the official UVP entry-level price list. According to NVIDIA, buyers receive not only the new features with the GeForce RTX 5060 compared to the GeForce RTX 4060, but also 20 to 25% more computing power. In conjunction with DLSS MFG, the GeForce RTX 5060 can also deliver approximately twice as many FPS as the RTX 4060.

GeForce RTX 5060 with 8 GB and 16 GB
Nvidia also reports a 20% increase in performance with the RTX 5060 Ti compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. In conjunction with DLSS Multi-Frame Generation, the frame rate should then increase by a factor of 2x.

MFG vs. Latency
For the result with MFG to be easy to play with, the base FPS must of course also adapt or be sufficiently high in this case. The MFG benchmarks presented by NVIDIA in WQHD, which show the final FPS well above the level that was possible with the RTX 3000 (without FG) or RTX 4000 (FG), indicate that it will not be easy for the RTX 5060 (TI) to maintain a sufficiently high base frequency before (m) FG. Independent benchmarks will show how this looks in practice.
