Trifold smartphone: Huawei Mate XT could debut in Germany on February 18
Huawei announced a product performance in Kuala Lumpur on February 18. Not only the hashtag used #unfoltheclassic, but also the teaser image that was folded three times indicates the three-fold mate, which Huawei had already presented and released in China at the end of 2024.
Huawei has never commented on whether or when the smartphone will also be available outside of China. With the announcement on X, a global market launch seems likely.
Techconseil has already taken a closer look at the foldable, which can be folded and the concept of an external and internal display with a single foldable OLED display, with a very good impression. With the Mate XT, the large screen can be folded so that two parts of the screen are folded in and one out.
The Mate XT’s OLED display is then fully folded to 10.2 inches and reaches tablet dimensions. The resolution is 2232 × 3184 pixels. If two of the three areas are used, there is almost 7.9 square inches with 2,232 × 2,048 pixels. If the foldable is folded twice and only the external display is used, it measures 6.4 inches and has 2,232 × 1,008 pixels.
