Updated System Tool: CPU-Z 2.12 supports Ryzen 9800X3D and Arrow Lake-H(X) 7 comments
System tool developers have a lot on their plate these days as software needs to be adapted to new generations of CPUs from AMD and Intel. This also applies to the CPU-Z tool, which with the new version 2.12 is not only compatible with the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but is also already familiar with Intel Arrow Lake for laptops.
As shown in the CPU-Z 2.12 release notes, support for the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (test) has been added. This is the first Zen 5 processor with additional L3 cache, which significantly increases gaming performance.
While Intel Arrow Lake-S has already hit the market in the form of the Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K and Core Ultra 5 245K (test), laptops with the new Intel architecture are still waiting. CPU-Z now supports and confirms HX variants from Core Ultra 5 235HX to Core Ultra 9 285HX as well as Arrow Lake-H from Core Ultra 5 225H to Core Ultra 9 285H.

The tool also had to be prepared for the new RAM CUDIMM standard. These are “clocked” DDR5 memory bars that are equipped with a signal amplifier.
CPU-Z 2.12 can be downloaded from the Techtip download area linked at the end. The software can be used free of charge.
