The action role-playing game Vampires: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, currently in development, is already five years longer than planned. There’s another change on the way: as the developer studio reports, the game will no longer be released in the first half of the year, but only in October 2025.
More time for technical finishing touches
In the public statement from Paradox Interactive and the Chinese venue, the new shift is justified by the fact that ensuring excellent technical quality is more important than meeting a specific deadline.
In the final development phase, community feedback was also taken into account. They now want to work intensively on quality assurance to ensure that “the game is stable and free of errors that could affect the gaming experience.” The new release window is October 2025. The exact date will be announced later.
PC Gamer Convinces First Impression
Gaming journalist Fraser Brown (PC Gamer) got a closer look at the game. After playing through the prologue twice, real anticipation for the game was building.
As I mentioned, in my hands-on, it turns into an entertaining power fantasy where you feel like you’re self-fermenting, transforming mortal and immortal alike into blood bombs and filling enemies with lead, without ever touching a weapon. You feel like a deadly supernatural thief who, depending on your mood, can commit suicide. It’s fun.

Delays are drawing the line.
Bloodlines 2 was actually scheduled for release in 2019. However, development of the action role-playing game was off schedule, and so slow that publisher Paradox hired developers Harsuit Labs in 2021, which acquired a portion of the project.
After a long hiatus, there was a sign of life again last year, but the now-targeted year of 2024 could not be maintained.
