Water March: Noctua Enters the Market with an All-in-One Water Cooler 26 comments
It’s been long-awaited; nothing has happened for years. But now the time has come: at Computex 2025, Noctua is announcing the market launch of an all-in-one water cooler. For now, the Austrian manufacturer is using a classic, but modified, Asetek platform. The “Thermosiphon” AIO phase shifter is still taking time.

Installation in a Secufirm2+ system, possibly with an updated 80 mm CPUS fan is the ultimate “AIO” challenge without moving thermosiphon parts.
Noctua’s first AIOS at a preview
Noctua is building on the current ASETEK platform (G8 V2) for its first AIO, which still doesn’t have a name. Although Asetek’s patent on the AIOS with an integrated cooler pump unit recently expired, the patents haven’t been pursued for years. However, with a focus on product performance and reliability, Noctua has decided not to pursue its own development, but rather to improve where necessary.

Acoustically Optimized Asetek Platform
Noctua has applied its expertise to the sound insulation of the pump control unit. In addition to three-layer sound insulation, pump vibrations are reduced by an integrated dead mass. There are three profiles (quiet, balanced, and manual) for pump operation.
With the latest Noctua fans
The NF-A14X25 G2 (140 mm) or the brand new NF-A12X25 G2 (120 mm) are used as fans. The fans do not operate at exactly the same speed to avoid noise caused by resonances.
Three variants: 420, 360, and 240 mm
Noctua is launching the all-in-one water cooling system in three sizes: 420 mm (3 x 140 mm fans), 360 mm (3 x 120 mm fans), and 240 mm radiator (2 x 120 mm fans).
IM Secufirm2+ Installation System
Noctua’s all-in-one uses the current Secufirm2+ installation system. If you’re upgrading from a Noctua air cooler to the new AIO, you probably won’t even have to change the mount.
Optionally with an 80mm fan
To cool the power supply, RAM, and M.2 SSD in the first slot via the AIO, Noctua offers an 80mm fan with a matching frame as an accessory.
Optionally, an 80mm fan can be used as a VRM cooler using a magnet
Price and Availability
Noctua hasn’t announced pricing at the trade fair yet. However, it will also take time for the new series to reach the market: the all-in-one water cooler isn’t expected to hit the market until the first quarter of 2026, according to the current roadmap. Appointments aren’t always kept at Noctua.
Noctua’s “Thermosiphon” is currently running.
Speculation that the manufacturer might have poured the “Thermosiphon” into a series of AIOs sparked a feasibility study a year ago. However, Noctua is showing a racing model at the exhibition booth in Taipei this year and confirms that products from the series are coming, but the technology is not yet ready for series production. There is no target.
For the first time
A variant with a 360 mm radiator, which must be installed under the case lid or above the heat sink so that the evaporated coolant can rise, then flow back into the radiator and then back out.
Chiplet processors are a challenge
One challenge is the selective heat delivery of current chiplet processors. They do not heat the CPU core evenly. The phase change principle presents particular challenges because the coolant used (an “R” coolant) at the hot spots evaporates too quickly, which can lead to a boiling crisis (a painful frost effect).
To prevent this and generally optimize the self-sustaining fluid flow in the heatsink, Noctua has tested countless cooler variants in the lab. The perfect solution for a series of cooler tires, which all available high-end chiplet processors reliably cool at high performance under full load, has yet to exist.
Ultimate “AIO” without moving parts
Performance, according to Noctua, is another “issue”: after all, it’s not just about the cooler working with its principle, but also about achieving the level of classic AIO coolers in its form factor, but without moving parts.
