Roborock has announced a firmware update for many models that enables support for the Smart Home manufacturer’s cross-material for several premium models. The update simplifies control via smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home or Amazon Alexa.
With the implementation of the Matter Standard, cross-communication between different smart home devices and manufacturers is possible, so you are no longer tied to one platform.
These Roborock models, under which the new Saros series is with a captivating arm, will receive the update in early April 2025:

Roborock promises to regularly update the Matter firmware to incorporate improvements. The manufacturer also plans to expand Matter support in the coming weeks and months to include upcoming products, including the S8 Max Ultra and Qrevo Slim. Other devices will follow soon.
