Xbox Game Studios Bundle: Humble Sells a Colorful Bouquet to Microsoft Hits 10 comments

Humble offers Xbox Studios’ offerings in all genres in the bundle. The titles included are all somewhat older, but still offer good entertainment. However, their greatest strength lies in a different way: they are far from the mainstream.
Less than 5 euros for three games
There are three games in the 4.76 euro basic bundle. The reboot of Nintendo‘s classic Battletoads failed to win over Little League players, criticizing the abandonment of beat ’em ups.
Broken Age, on the other hand, comes from Tim Schafer. The point-and-click adventure was one of the reasons for the Kickstarter boom ten years ago and one of the first titles funded by the platform, showing that niche genres can still find a wide audience. The Broken Age was later released in two parts due to a miscalculation. Nevertheless, it offers good adventure fun in the typical Tim-Buyer style.
On the other hand, Sunset Overdrive goes overboard. The Xbox One launch title combines the absurdity of a dead rise with the mechanics of a skateboarding energy drink game, delivering action-packed and spectacularly constant motion as they slide over curbs and power lines.

Level 2 increases the variety
There are five other games for 9.35 euros. As Dusk Falls presents itself as an interactive drama, a game-movie in which players decide the course of action. It’s good—on average, “very positive.” Quantum Break, the precursor to Remedy‘s Control, on the other hand, combines cinematic live-action scenes with action gameplay and time manipulation. The ambitious mix also holds up well.
Furthermore, alongside Ori and the Will of the Wish, there’s a beautiful Metroidvania, with Age of Empires Definitive Edition (review) a remake of the 1997 strategy classic. Despite the visual modernization, its age can’t completely disguise its age. Wasteland 3 closes the circle on the broken age. The end-times role-playing game, set in a post-nuclear America, was also funded through a crowdfunding campaign.
Steam Delivery
The bundle can still be purchased on the humble website for a good 12 days. All games are distributed as Steam activation keys, and Mac and Linux versions are sometimes available.
