Xiaomi tablets have now established themselves as very well-equipped and inexpensive tablets; with the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro this will not change, as the launch in China shows.
As usual, the Pad 7 series also includes two models, the standard model Xiaomi Pad 7 and the more powerful Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, although the Pro version has not been officially launched in Germany recently. It is not yet possible to say whether this will also be the case with the new model; an announcement for Germany is still pending.
Xiaomi Pad 7 and Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro technical specifications
High resolution display
Both models feature an 11.2-inch LCD display with a high resolution of 3200 × 2136 pixels and a pixel density of 345 ppi. Xiaomi has not changed anything about the panel technology and has notably decided not to use an OLED panel. Both tablets therefore have a 3:2 format screen. The refresh rate is again 144 Hz. The maximum screen brightness is 800 cd/m², which is a good value, but does not belong to the absolute top group – the LCD screen of the Huawei MatePad 12 X (test), for example, reaches almost 1,000 cd/m². Like Huawei, Xiaomi also offers a matte display that minimizes glare with a nano-textured coating that is claimed to reduce glare by 99% and glare by 65%. However, this type of screen is only available as an option and is not standard.

For both tablets, Xiaomi uses the new HyperOS 2 as an operating system, based on Android 15 and above all intended to offer improved multitasking. Features also include a cross-platform clipboard that synchronizes content and aims to facilitate interaction with Xiaomi smartphones.
Housing and dimensions
Both tablets use an aluminum unibody chassis that is just 6.18mm thick. The dimensions of both models are identical at 251.22 × 173.42 × 6.18 mm.
