RADEON RX 9060 XT: 3.3 GHz Clock Boost and three video outputs Rumored 24 comments

The fact that AMD is using its own Computex press conference on May 21 to present the Radeon RX 9060 XT with 8 GB and 16 GB VRAM is an open secret. This now underlies newly arrived rumors in the daily rhythm. Today it’s about a 3.3 GHz clock, the display engine and the power connection.
More than 3.3 GHz at XFX
Since yesterday, listening to ASUS models can be considered safe that AMD will in fact bring the NAVI-44-GPU with two different memory configurations as RX 9060 XT, analogous to Nvidias Geforce RTX 5060 Ti. Today, two custom designs from XFX underpin the variable storage expansion. As a result, the XFX Swift will eventually exist with 8GB or 16GB of GDDR6 memory, the larger expansion level with three instead of two axial fans.
XFX advertises both graphics cards with a Boost clock of 3,320 MHz, which seems realistic considering the already-stuck reference clock of 3,230 MHz. The announced Ex Works clock would therefore be as high as the gaming graphics card before. The Radeon RX 9070
8-pin connection and three video outputs
Meanwhile, an image of the ACER ROPED RX 9060 XT Nitro has surfaced on X, showing a dual-slot graphics card with two fans and an 8-pin power connection. As is well known, the long-standing 8-pin connector is rated for up to 150 watts, so the TDP and the approximately 75 watts from the PCIE slot can reach a maximum of 225 watts. However, a lower power output is realistic, as the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 GRE are already rated at “only” 220 watts.
It’s also worth noting that the Acer graphics card on the slot cover only has three video outputs. The XFX models also list only one HDMI port and two HDMI ports. This leads to the obvious conclusion that the NAVI-44 GPU’s display engine can generally only run three displays. This wouldn’t be surprising, even though the Radeon RX 7600 XT (review) offered four video outputs.
Market launch in June?
It’s assumed that both Radeon RX 9060 XT variants will be available a few weeks after the June presentation. Nothing is officially known about pricing. Amazon US lists the two prematurely listed XFX models at around $450 or around $520; however, such high prices don’t seem realistic in this case, as even the 8GB variant would be more expensive than the 16GB GeForce RTX 5060 TI (review).
AMD’s first 8GB graphics card, the Radeon R9 390 (review), hit the market exactly 10 years ago in June 2015 for 310 euros.
